Project Description
This project will install two new subaqueous gas lines across the intercoastal waterway to serve the increase gas demand on Clearwater Beach.

 

Project Status 
CGS Energy selected AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) as the engineering to perform the design and permitting services for two new subaqueous mains to supply the Clearwater Beach area. These installations will involve approximately 8,800 feet of eight inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) natural gas pipelines beneath the Intracoastal Waterway. The city council approved the crossing(s) contract in mid-January. The purchase order has been submitted for this work and the project design kickoff meeting will occur sometime in early February, 2026.
